Omega shaving brushes are created by an Italian based company that has been in the shaving brush business since 1946. Omega makes many kinds of brushes included paint brushes and other types.

One of the reasons we appreciate Omega shaving brushes is because unlike many of their competitors, they do ONLY brushes. These shave brushes tend to holder water better than many other brushes on the market. Why is this beneficial? Simple, it allows a better lather and makes the overall shave much more enjoyable.

Omega Silver Tip Badger Shaving Brush

One of the more expensive Omega shaving soap brushes, simply because they are silver tip badger quality. These will provide a great shaving experience with a heavy lather provided by a nice full head of bristles.

Omega 63171 100% Pure Badger Shaving Brush

As we’d expect, the Omega 63171 doesn’t have quite the quality of bristles that the Omega Silver Tip Brush does, however it’s definitely still a quality brush. For the price, and for beginners, this is a quality brush to make sure you’re hooked on shaving this way without spending too much money.

Make sure to beak the brush in because it may be a bit stiff bristled in the beginning. As with all brushes, if you break it in and take care you should find it to work quite nicely.

Omega Boar Shaving Brush

Badger hair is better than boar hair, but if price is concern and you are convinced you need a boar hair brush… this is a quality brush to grab! It features a chrome handle that helps build the “throw back” look that helped popularize new school wet shaving.

Great lather for a Boar brush, the only downside to using this brush besides it not being badger hair, is that the boar hair can have that distinct scent as other boar brushes are known for.

Omega Syntex Synthetic Fiber Shaving Brush

If you’re a vegan guy, this is the Omega brush you want. The Omega Syntex uses synthetic bristles and not animal hair. You should expect the lather and quality to be similar to a pure badger brush, however some reviews have mentioned that it does not have the same level of exfoliation quality.

This style of bristle tends to dry much quicker after a shave than animal fir, and the bristles do not tend to degrade overtime at the same level that badger or boar fir do. Expect this brush to last quite awhile if you do go this route.
